Human circulation and blood vascular system

Blood vascular system

In human blood vascular system is of closed type.
It is made up of blood vessels and heart.
Heart is the musculer organ which pumps the blood in blood vessels.
Blood vessels supplies nutrient to the tissues.

General function of blood
Respiration :-
Blood transport oxygen from lungs to tissue and transport carbon dioxide from tissue to lungs.
Nutrition :-
After digestion of food nutrients are absorbed from digestive tract into blood. Blood transports the nutrients to tissues.
Excretion :-
Waste products of body are absorbed in blood and transported to kidney, lungs, skin and intestine for elimination.
Water balance :-
Blood maintains water balance between circulating blood and tissue fluid.

Other functions are maintenance of pH, Regulation of body temperature, communication system, defence, prevent blood loss, etc.
